Janet Turley is a Brooklyn-based writer of both song and prose. She’s lived previous lives as drummer, bass player, and guitar player (not all at the same time) in other bands and is returning to solo work to rekindle an intimacy with music. She feeds off the dynamics when music is stipped down to just a few key ingredients. Performing and writing as a solo artist has been an on-again, off-again relationship. An isolating habit that can’t be quit. An atavistic impulse from DNA swept under the radar.
