Julia Evans is a writer in San Diego. Her fiction work can be found or is forthcoming at Hobart, Noble/Gas Qtrly, Monkeybicycle, Swarm, Black Candies, and States of Terror, vol. 1. Her non-fiction work has been featured in a bunch of VAMP showcases and in Like the Wind Magazine.
Her short story “Fiddle De Dee,” (published in SSWA Press’s Black Candies: See Through) was long-listed for the Ellen Datlow’s “Best of Horror” in 2013. She was a recipient of a PEN in the Community Residence in 2014 and a Poets & Writers Grant earlier this year for teaching and facilitating writing workshops.
