LGBTQ Storytellers Do Valentines
Stories Above Love-Gone-Weird Come to Martinis Above 4th

This February. So Say We All, a creative writing and performing arts non-profit, present “Love Confection,” a night of true stories from the LGBTQ community about love gone awry, headlined by author and comedic performer, Dave White, author of, “Exile in Guyville.”

Storytellers and writers from the LGBTQ community have been welcomed and featured in So Say We All’s storytelling showcases since the organization’s inception in 2009, but after launching a successful outreach program in 2014 to the veteran community that included free writing workshops through the Oceanside and Central Libraries, the organization found greater involvement in their programs came from directly courting groups that, as the organization’s Executive Director, Justin Hudnall, puts it, “Are more often talked about than heard from in the media.”

“It’s one thing to put out a welcome mat, but if you really want to be dedicated about working with all communities, you have to put your programs where the people are.”

Love Confection marks the first show by “Outspoken”, So Say We All’s LGBTQ outreach program, made possible through a gift from Brian and LJ Joyner.
