Lizz Huerta is a poet and fiction writer born and raised in Chula Vista, who writes and lives in South Park. Her stories have appeared in XOJane, Time, ZYZZYVA, The Portland Review, Duende and various anthologies. She is a member of the VONA Community and has worked with several literary non-profits in San Diego. She paints wrought iron for a living and thinks every writer should have a job where their hands get dirty. She’s working on a short story collection and a YA novel.
