So Say We All’s 2014 Veteran Writers Program is sponsored by a grant from Cal Humanities, “California Reads” program and The Center for the Book, in partnership with San Diego’s Downtown Central and Oceanside Libraries.
6-week creative writing courses will be made available to active-duty and military veterans through social service partnerships, and open enrollment in Oceanside and San Diego. Works created through these workshops will be published in an anthology available in the fall, to debut with a series of public performances, masterclasses by visiting veteran authors, and a keynote reading by Karl Marlantes (Matternhorn, What It Is Like To Go To War.)
This year’s writings and workshops will revolve around the theme of, “Homecoming.” If you would like to be a part of the Veterans Writing Program, just fill out the intake survey and you will be contacted by a program administrator about upcoming workshop availability.
