Story Punks, the quarterly review showcase featuring community favorites from So Say We All’s VAMP Nonfiction Showcase, returns to Public Square this December with a lineup of pieces you’d be sorry you missed the first time if you didn’t have this chance to catch them again.
Our lovely venue has 90 seats waiting for you along with beer, wine, coffee, and scratch-made pizza from bakery masters. Get yourself down to La Mesa, “The La Jolla of East County” as we in the know, know.

In support of our Winter Fundraiser, we are honored to offer you a secret kitchen experience in the home of San Diego’s Pastry Pedaler, our friend and ally, Chef Dana Weimar with guest host Lindsay Abbott, as they dare to elevate us into the realm of fancy that can use the word “amuse-bouche” accurately. You still don’t need to dress fancy though to seize a new kind of night out that reminds you what food and friendship can be.

And trust that you ended up looking really, really bad, bruh.
Come on and bare that soul to a room full of people who've been in that boat, too. Or maybe they haven't. Either way, everyone will become great friends and laugh and cry and raise their glasses full of delicious Thorn bevvies. Ouch! This month, Long Story Short welcomes you to share the true tales of those times when you got pricked. Did you not bleed on a knife? Laugh at a brilliant line of satire? Exact revenge on a lego brick?
Take your turn at the mic and tell the crowd your story in five minutes or fewer, with no script or notes. Sign up when you arrive, or any time after, and have your name randomly pulled from our magical basket. Or, you're welcome to just kick back and watch!
And while you're hanging out with us, treat yourself to the tasty drinks of Thorn Brewery -- free of sharp edges, full of delicious mouthfeel!
