SSWA Reppin’ in a Webinar!

Last month, So Say We All’s Board Chair Taylor Funderburk, Executive Director Justin Hudnall, and Program Director Jennifer Corley participated in a webinar series with Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network.

The three had participated in a months-long program with Creative Forces to learn about the Theory of Change and Logic Model development process through MEL (monitoring, evaluation, and learning) strategy consultations . Even though it’s a mouthful, at its heart the program ultimately helps us at SSWA ensure and prove that our work makes a difference (yes, a good one).

In particular, this program focussed on our work with veteran and military-connected communities. Learning about MEL strategies strengthens and broadens what we can do, and enables the entire military arts culture in the U.S. to grow. However, we also realized in wrapping up our work with Creative Forces that we can apply all that we learned to so many of our programs!

Creative Forces asked us to join them in the webinar to discuss what we learned about Theory of Change, Logic Models, and MEL strategies; to share the experience with others; and talk about how we walked away from the consultations knowing what our next steps would be. Participating with us was the great team from Austin’s Art Spark Texas. Click on the images above or below to check it out!
