Whew! We made it, y’all! We got through 2026 and I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a feeling that 2027 is just gonna be filled with exciting opportunities and positive energy and OH GOD WHAT’S THAT, GET IT AWAY FROM ME. RUN, CHILDREN! RUNNNNNNN!

Sorry, I blacked out for a second.

Anyway. We’re looking to light the fuse on this year of VAMP storytelling with a mighty January show. “Off With a Bang” is your chance to submit your tales of, well, getting started. Spin us a yarn of your kickstarts, kick-asses, kick-flips, kick-whatevers. Send us your stories of volatile situations—incendiary, romantic, or maybe both.

And you know what, since this is the first VAMP of the year, we’ll just give all you prospective storytellers a reminder: The themes are just meant to inspire you to get clickety-clacking on those keyboards of yours. If you feel like you’ve got a true story to tell, don’t worry if it doesn’t match perfectly to the theme. We just want to read it. And what’s a more perfect opportunity to START telling your stories with “Off With a Bang”?

Submission deadline: Sunday, December 13th
